The Founder of the Modern Day Human Control Systems
We’ve all felt it: that nagging sense that we are sprinting on a treadmill designed by someone else. Whether it’s the 9-to-5 grind or the reluctant march through the school day, preparing for a future we know is only going to get harder. Yes. That feeling of being 'trapped' and ‘ caged ’. It isn't just in your head - This is the silent cry the human race has shared for much of history. We feel like the strained cogs of a machine we didn't build, but very few have discovered the one man who is behind who laid the blueprint for "the system" governing our lives today.

The Pattern of Rebellion: Wicked Men and Complex Systems
A disturbing pattern is evident in the book of Genesis: those who depart from God have a tendency to establish complex governmental systems and urban centers. We see this first with Cain, who, after being cast out of God's presence, went off to build the world's first city (Genesis 4:16-17). That's right ! The very first centralized, human-controlled environment was built by a man , who the scriptures identify as being "of that wicked one" (1 John 3:12).
But while Cain started the trend, it was Nimrod who perfected it. He is the figure who truly laid the foundation for the pervasive system we see today.
The First World Leader
Not long after the earth's recovery from the Great Flood , a powerful man arose who would draft the script now guiding most of human life : Nimrod. The scripture tells us of his rise to power , saying that "He began to be a mighty one in the earth" (Genesis 10:8). What does it mean to be a "mighty one in the earth"? It means Nimrod became a very powerful and influential world leader—the first of his kind.
The Great Kingdom Builder: Nimrod's Blueprint for Nations
The scripture details Nimrod's achievements: "The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar" (Genesis 10:10). Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh were the foundational centers of what would become the first global empires in human history. These were the earliest "superpowers" of ancient Mesopotamia and are where the first known instances of large-scale urbanization, centralized government, and imperial power in human history . Nimrod continued adding to his vast empire, extending his influence into Assyria, where he founded other famous political powers like Nineveh.
The great empires that followed throughout history—from the Egyptians , Babylonians, to the Assyrians and beyond—all proceeded from and seem to have copied Nimrod's model of centralized control.
Even as Nimrod , The Mighty Hunter Before the Lord
The Bible seems to want to make us aware that Nimrod was a skillful "hunter " (Genesis 10:9). He was so remarkable at this , that he commanded the very gaze of God himself, earning him the title “the mighty hunter before the Lord” . What exactly was Nimrod hunting that was significant enough to capture the attention of heaven?
It is natural to assume that this just means that this man was just a produgy at persuing and capturing wild life (like land animals , birds, or fish) , but Jeremiah 5:29 alerts us of another unexpected creature that is also a viable prey option : "For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men."We (human beings ) are being warned here . The Bible wants us to be wary of the existence of people who want to trap and cage fellow human beings(intentionally and strategically so ).
The Legendary human hunter
The context of Genesis 10 connects Nimrod's "hunting " prowess to his subsequent success in the growth of an empire. Now we know that empires do not grow by collecting and caging wild beasts , but rather, by catching people to bring them under domination or control . Therefore , what made Nimrod noteworthy of mention in the scripture was his legendary ability to subdue and trap human beings in centralized, human-controlled urban ecosystems . You will later learn that the secret weapon Nimrod used to allure and subdue humanity to a secret weapon
Structured to manage life
Why did Nimrod build these systems? As the ruler over all these complex governmental structures, he was nothing short of an ancient world “elite,” with the power to decide the direction of civilization. Nimrod established all these governments for one simple, terrifying purpose: to control human life .
A government is simply an organized, hierarchical structure that allows one individual, or a few, to control the various aspects of the lives of a huge number of people. All nations today consist of a government divided into specialized departments dedicated to managing specific aspects of human life, ensuring this dependence is absolute. Think about it:
- Department of Education: Chooses what we learn/can do and shapes our worldview.
- Department of Agriculture: Manages our food supply, controlling what we eat.
- Department of Water and Sanitation: Controls what we drink.
- Department of Health: Manages healthcare access and systems, controlling our well-being.
Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation: Controls what entertains the population, managing our distractions.
According to Joseshus , Nimrod's ultimate goal was to bring humanity into a “into a constant dependence on his power.” Today , Nimrod's system decides and about and holds the keys to every essential aspect of your life and my life. This is the enduring, terrifying legacy of Nimrod's system.
Introspection: Have You Been Captured?
It was never God's plan for mankind to live under the influence of these systems. His will for you is quite different—but choosing to explore it may cost you everything you know . In future articles, you will learn the secret weapon Nimrod used to allure & control the unsuspecting masses. We will also discover the how the ancient economy was created (and who was behind it ) . See you on the other side !
